I've tried almost everything from uninstalling and reinstalling more than a few times myasus app and armoury crate and nothing.I've got both apps fully updated, even the bios and windows is up to date and even tried older version of armoury crate and balanced mode still seems to be there.i don't know what else i could do to get performance mode back.i don't think an update could've caused this problem cus I've seen posts from over a year ago that people having the same problem.i think there is a driver missing or something wrong with the armoury crate or missing keys from the regedit.i don't know.Change Power mode and plan In order for the performance to increase i have to have the laptop plugged in now.so i definitely lost performance cus before (unplugged) when i switched to performance mode, the fans would start to kick loud and had an increase in performance, now the fans don't even kick loud anymore in balanced mode. (unplugged) the fans don't even kick loud anymore in balanced mode like it should when i still had performance mode. i even tested it in a game, i tested it (unplugged on laptop) on silent mode and then switched to balanced mode and the frames were exactly the same as if it were in silent mode. But every time I switch to turbo for 2 min it goes till 8000rpm and then drops back to 6500. I investigate and I realized that at 95 degrees the fan was only at 6500 rpm where it is capable of 8000 rpm. suddenly after 1 month the frames starting to drop. You’ll see the GPU Mode option here, which lets you cycle through the four modes available to you. ![]() Performance mode has been replaced by balanced mode in armoury crate.i don't think it was from an update cus i wasn't even connected to the internet when all of the sudden performance mode was replaced by balanced mode and now it definitely doesn't perform like it did before when i still had the performance option, in fact, it runs exactly the same as if it were in windows and silent mode (with laptop unplugged). 11-25-2020 08:43 AM I have a Zephyrus M15 (GU502LW), 2 months old. Open the Armoury Crate application, make sure it’s up to date, and look at the System Configuration box in the lower right-hand corner.
